The Governor of Utah is considering a ban on the ban of single-use plastic disposable shopping bags throughout the State of Utah.  
Moab
January 2019
Prohibits all establishments in Moab from providing single-use plastic disposable shopping bags for the purpose of carrying away goods from the point of sale. Requires plastic bags to have a minimum thickness of 2.25 mil. Allows paper and reusable shopping bags. 
Reusable bags that are made of cloth or other machine washable fabric that have handles, or a durable plastic bag that is at least 2.25 mil thick with handles and specifically designed and manufactured for multiple usesReusable bags shall not contain lead, cadmium, or any other heavy metal in toxic amounts.
Park City
May 2017
